The arch band
The foot is knitted close, with a band across the arch that holds it in place. Light, not tight. It doesn't twist in a trainer or bunch in a boot.
The flat toe seam
You shouldn't feel it through a workout. A reviewer looking for sensory-friendly socks called the seams "almost nonexistent."
The leg

Are they thick?
No. This is a lightweight, fine, smooth sock — not a chunky one. If you want thick and cosy for winter, the crew sock is the pair to buy.
Are they warm?
Mildly, inside a boot. They run cool, which makes them a summer-and-autumn sock rather than a January one.
Can I feel the toe seam?
You shouldn't. It's a flat seam; one reviewer looking for sensory-friendly socks described the seams as almost nonexistent.
How do I wash them?
Cold, inside out, and air dry — they're dry in a few hours. A mesh bag helps, because fine yarns catch on zips in the drum.Answer
Will they shrink?
Not washed cold and air-dried. Hot washes and the tumble dryer are what shrink stretch yarn and tire out the elastic.
